I've lived in my apartment for 2 years, and started seeing this girl a few months ago. I believe she is pregnant. She is very sweet. She won't stop coming around and is quite attached to me. She looks emaciated aside from her big belly.

What do I do? I have 2 cats inside that are very friendly, and I'd like to bring her inside. I set up a vet appointment for Tuesday to make sure she's ok. I'm really worried if she's pregnant she's gonna have these kittens outside and that breaks my heart.

Update: thank you everyone for the advice. I have been outside my home trying to catch her but have not seen her in a couple of hours. I regret not taking her in sooner but was worried about the possibility of her getting my 2 other cats sick. If my vet was available tomorrow, id get her in sooner, but Tuesday was the soonest appointment. I will

be trying to catch her ASAP and 이 antine her in my bathroom. I'm PRAYING I get her inside in time. ;-; I want her to join my pack and never be on the streets again. Will post more updates as they come.

Update: she is captured and going to the vet in 5 hours!!!!!! I couldn't sleep at all last night so I found a different vet to take her in and make sure she's ok. I'm unsure what's gonna happen with the pregnancy but will update after the vet appointment. I understand some people may think this is

someone's cat but if she is indeed pregnant, it is incredibly irresponsible for them to leave her to fend for herself outside. She eats like she's starving and is covered in fleas. I live in Southwest Florida where it's not only incredibly hot, but dangerous, there are feral

fights here constantly and she seems more house broken than the actual 'ferals' in our neighborhood. Thanks so much for the sweet comments everyone. I have been getting my cats used to her scent and think they will happily accept her with time. Edit: I'm told that if she has a microchip it can be

scanned and we'll go from there. I would never want to steal someone's cat, but honestly she's in rough shape and I believe she deserves better. It's a rough life outside for these cats.

FelinityApps She'll pop any day now. If you intend to do something for her, now is the time. It's probably what she's seeking from you.

Nervous-External7927 You have been adopted. The cat distribution system has been successful again.

EUGsk8rBoi42p Let her in and set up the bathroom for her! Put the other cats in a bedroom and just leave the front door open, tempt her with some food. She may have been an indoor cat at some point!

renrentally You've been adopted by a magical Snowshoe baby! Same thing happened to me last year (pregnant female) and we had her spayed and living the domesticated life. These cats are smart & sweet with big personalities

dmgirl101 Thanks for helping her! She's very pregnant :(

Tobestik You have a good heart OP. Like others said, if you have a spare room for her then you should consider taking her in! Hope the vet check goes ok.

Notchersfireroad She's way pregnant. Do you have the ability to take her in to have her babies? She's gorgeous and will make gorgeous kittens. Adoptions shouldn't be too hard.

Serasaurus Yup..shes pregnant and also looks to be a breed cat, siamese perhaps? Some has owned her at some point. Try to get her inside, that will be best for her and her babies. Shes just beautiful.

Drlitez I say let her in :) She most likely is looking for a place to have her kittens.

hermitsociety I help rescue cats. Here's my advice: She looks pregnant to me and her being friendly likely confirms it. They often get very lovey when they're expecting.

Best thing for mama is a spay. You can do it now and they will abort the kittens. Or you can do it after the kittens. If you bring her in, under NO circumstances should you let her outside or by unfixed male cats until she's fixed.

A lot of clinics have rules about feral cats. Make sure your vet knows she's feral and ask. When I take ferals for spay/neuter my clinic requires they arrive in a trap, because it allows them to sedate the kitty before handling it.

It's kitten season and you are likely to find all the rescue and shelter groups are full up and not taking kittens. If you let her have the kittens, just know that you are likely to be on the hook for all their vet care (vax, wormer, flea meds, etc.) and food/litter. You'll also have to find them good homes when they wean around 8-12 weeks old. (And get them fixed too if they are with you much longer than that.)

Not trying to discourage you, just the facts! (I'm writing this under a pile of five kittens.) Last time I took five for a first kitty check/vax it was a couple hundred bucks. The spay/rabies/chip for their mama (who will be a TNr kitty) was $190 at our local low-cost clinic. My vet charges more like $450.
